Dr. Aaron Trochim was born and raised in the Ferrum part of Franklin County. His father, Dr. Mike Trochim, was a professor at Ferrum college for over 30 years. His mother Linda Trochim was formerly an adult education teacher in Franklin County and now serves as an English as a second language teacher for many of Franklin County’s elementary schools. The Trochims have valued the power of Chiropractic for decades now and Dr. Trochim and his 4 siblings grew up receiving regular adjustments. Dr. Trochim graduated from Franklin County High school in 2007. He received his undergrad from Bridgewater College in 2011 and graduated a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2014. He married his high school sweetheart, Kelly, in 2011. Together they have 2 daughters, Molly and Charlotte. They are members of Franklin Heights Baptist Church. Dr. Trochim is an avid runner, bicyclist, and Chicago Cubs fan. Dr. Trochim has been chosen as one of the top 10 chiropractors for patient satisfaction by the American Institute of Chiropractors for 3 years in a row!
Dr. Stephen Hussey is from western North Carolina and calls the Appalachian Mountains home. Starting at a very young age, Dr. Stephen suffered from many inflammatory conditions that doctors could not figure out the cause of. He had Irritable Bowel Syndrome, chronic hives, asthma, allergies, and various autoimmune conditions. Through his relentless research and think outside the medical box approach, he has made lifestyle changes that have eliminated the conditions he once had and now lives disease free. He has made it his mission to share his knowledge and experience with others to help them in their health journey no matter what health challenges they are struggling with. After undergraduate studies, Dr. Stephen attained both his Doctorate of Chiropractic and Masters in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine from the University of Western States in Portland, OR. In addition to his clinical work as a chiropractor, he is the author of two books on health and also a regular speaker at nutrition conferences. Dr. Stephen guides patients back to health by using the latest research and health attaining strategies. In his down time he likes to be outdoors, playing sports, traveling, reading, writing, researching, and spending time with his wife and their pets.
Dr. Cameron DesRochers, a New Hampshire native, grew up receiving chiropractic care from a very early age, but it was not until sustaining a significant head and neck injury while snowboarding that he began to take notice of the profession. After receiving chiropractic care post-injury, he was able to return to his active lifestyle making a full and speedy recovery. Following this experience, Dr. Cameron knew his life’s calling was to be a chiropractor. With this realization, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree from Wheaton College (IL) where he was involved in multiple student body organizations and was also a strength and conditioning coach for both the Women’s Tennis team and Men’s Ultimate Frisbee squad. Upon graduation, he went on to obtain his Doctorate degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic (IA) in 2020 before working in a chiropractic clinic in Metro-Washington D.C. In Dr. Cameron’s free time, he enjoys playing/watching soccer, golf, snowboarding, deep sea fishing, reading mystery novels and spending time with family.
Ruth Waddell is a Franklin County native and has been a Chiropractic Assistant at Trochim Family Chiropractic since it’s start. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 2010 and went on to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Roanoke College in 2014. Ruth met her husband Nick at Roanoke College and they married in 2018. She has been receiving regular chiropractic adjustments since she was 8 years old, which has helped her live her life at the most optimal level. Ruth has her x-ray license and takes all necessary x-rays right here with our on-site x-ray unit. She is an insurance expert and is here to answer any questions you have. In her spare time, Ruth enjoys playing piano, running 5Ks, and rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
Hannah Robertson is a Franklin County native and has been a Chiropractic Assistant at Trochim Family Chiropractic since 2021. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 2019 and is currently taking classes at Virginia Western Community College. She originally sought out chiropractic care for her scoliosis and after learning the true value of chiropractic, has continued with adjustments ever since! She lives her life free of any pain relievers! In her free time she enjoys drawing, painting, and kayaking.
Brittany Watts is a Franklin County native and has been a Chiropractic Assistant at Trochim Family Chiropractic since it’s start. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 2010 and attended Patrick Henry Community College. She married her high school sweetheart, Carter, in 2017. She sought out Chiropractic care for chronic headaches and TMJ pain. The headaches and TMJ pain were constant sometimes debilitating. Pain relievers rarely provided any relief. Today, she lives a pain free and drug free life. Brittany has her x-ray license and takes all necessary x-rays right here with our on-site x-ray unit. She is an insurance expert and is here to answer any questions you have.
